With multiple transcontinental railroad lines now in existence and railroads having to seek new avenues for income, railroad maps began serving another purpose- tourism. This eye-catching map is intended to attract tourists to the western half of the continent in general and specifically to the Northern Pacific Railway as the means to get there.
