1 map; col., 20 x 27 cm. <br>The Great Northern's route over Stevens Pass was originally laid out with an eye towards the future construction of tunnels that could that could increase efficiency and decrease the hazards of travel. The original line was built in 1892, and subsequently a 2.6 mile tunnel was completed in 1900 to eliminate some of the hazards. The tunnel featured in this map was built between 1925 and 1928, and is 7.8 miles in length
